A massive fire has engulfed a timber flooring and furniture factory, sending black smoke billowing into the sky and brick walls tumbling to the ground in Sydney’s west.
The industrial fire on Beresford Avenue at Greenacre took hold about 3pm on Tuesday, and is expected to remain active “for a considerable amount of time”.

More than 50 firefighters are on the scene of the fire, which is “well alight”, Fire and Rescue NSW said.
An exclusion zone has been established by NSW Police with people urged to avoid the area.

It’s not yet known what sparked the blaze. No injuries have been reported so far.
