He will be aiming for a fourth straight victory when Excel Moon lines up in the Australia Day Races At The MTC Country Boosted Maiden Handicap (1000m), with Jeff Penza taking the ride.
Excel Moon has been down the track in two starts to date on the Riverside track at Wagga in May and Corowa in June.
While Excel Moon is considered an outsider, Colvin will saddle up the favourite, Deflector, in the Congratulations Mitch Castles MTC Track Manager F&M Maiden Plate (1300m), with Blaike McDougall in the saddle.
Deflector is a five-year-old daughter of Pride Of Dubai and has finished in the placings in five of her seven starts for Colvin. She raced on the speed when a last start second at Wagga.
Colvin has a two-pronged attack in the Team Thoroughbred NSW Training Academy Country Boosted Class 1 & Maiden Plate (1600m), with Pride Of Jezza (McDougall) and Super Nic (Pierre Boudvillain) going around.
Pride Of Jezza charged home to score a Wagga victory three starts ago when well in the market and has since backed that up with a second on the Riverside track and a third at Wagga.
Super Nic remains a maiden after six starts but has finished second in two of her latest three starts, with both placings being at Wagga.
