Dunkley hints at Daicos or De Goey matchup

By Jon Pierik

Brisbane midfielder Josh Dunkley told coach Chris Fagan last week that he wanted to shadow Matt Rowell leading into the semi-final against the Gold Coast Suns. Dunkley won that battle.

He rang Fagan last week and asked whom he could take in today’s preliminary final.

While Dunkley did not get specific in a pre-game interview with Fox Footy, he said Nick Daicos and Jordan De Goey had been in good touch.

“They have got so many weapons across their midfield,” he said.

‘We know what it takes’: Moore

By Jon Pierik

Amid the pressure and focus of a preliminary final, Collingwood skipper Darcy Moore said it was important he and his team enjoyed the afternoon.

Moore said that had been a mantra of his team through September.

“Enjoy the journey, this is what we train for, this is what we play months and months for,” Moore told Fox Footy.

“We are an experienced team and know what it takes. It’s now about executing it.”
